.: About Me :.

gretylife4Hello, Earth Intruder. *Vulcanian greeting with right hand*.

My name is Greta Maria Margherita Montalbano. I was born inside the walls of the ancient Rome, in Italy in an autumn day in 1985. I moved in Paris when i was a child, and spent part of my childhood travelling around the world with my father. I lived some time in Hong Kong. And i went back in Rome. These places took slowly a part of my heart. Somehow, i am a kind of true bohémienne blessed with a nostalgic damnation. Is it correct to say that in english? i hope so.   My ancients, nobles last names always made me curious to know as much as i could about the history of my family. This is why i love so much history. It’s us— it’s always us… and normally we don’t learn from our mistakes. Never. War is always here, reminding us that we do not have respect for life, nor for our evolution.

Aenis WAS my pseudonym (yep, i had to change Chihyro in Aenis – but Aenis revealed to be a huge failure also… nobody knew it came from latin… so… for the moment i’m just … Foglianera, that means Bleak leaf).

I’ve been drawing since the day I could hold a pencil, and started teaching myself to draw digitally in 2010. I did not followed Art schools. I studied litterature at the Rome University and took my degree in French Modern Litterature with a thesis on the romantic poet “De Musset” (i was actually interested in those poets who saw their their double/”doppelganger”). I love writing. After i won several litterature prizes in Italy, i decided to publish my first book in september 2011. I am not Catholic. I believe in reincarnation.

I moved in Paris in June 2013. Now i work in a big Hotel in Paris. I keep on drawing. Always. Same for writing. I think i’ll have to do like Svevo or Calvino… italian writers. Work for money and Art for pleasure.

I do not have a Television in my house. My Alienware is my technological connection to the world. I think television makes you lazy.

I made several works. I worked for a short time as model. I enjoyed making babysitting: it was easy when there was a Xbox or a playstation. I make childreen laugh. Don’t know why, perhaps because i’m very expressive… i can’t tell. I worked as volunteer for the United Nations (FAO) and for a Roman Organization that supports people with disabilities (Il Gabbiano), and in Rome’s Airport … like this:

  1. Hi Greta, thank you for dropping by in my blog.
From the profile that you write here, I can say that you are so lucky. You are so rich with experiences since you have been in many parts of the world and have been involved in many activities.

  3. That’s the longest About Me I have seen in my entire life… and the most enjoyable one that I have read. wow, do you breath when you talk/write ?
    De musset, you said ?
“Oui, femmes, quoi qu’on puisse dire,
